What this tool does
A Motion Photo is a JPG with a short MP4 embedded inside, plus Google's motion metadata. This converter re-encodes your clip to a compatible H.264 MP4, captures the first frame as the still image, writes the required XMP metadata, and packs everything into a single .MP.jpg file — the same layout Pixel phones produce.
How to convert
- Choose a short video (the first 10 seconds are used).
- Click Create Motion Photo and wait for the in-browser encode.
- Download the .MP.jpg and transfer it to an Android phone.
- Open it in Google Photos or Samsung Gallery to see the motion play.
